For my readings, I really liked how Mr. mitchie got the girls excited about reading esperanza. I also liked how Cisneros came to the school to speak to the children about being Mexican and not being the smartest kid her class and still able to become successful. I think it was inspiring to the kids and the girls who narrated the book. I was also doubting the fact that Cisneros was going to show up at their school to. so it was surprising when when I read that she had accepted their offer to come visit. I also liked how Mr. mitchie kept in touch with the girls for years and even into their college years. I thought it was cool that Mr. michie inspired nancy to become a teacher
